Arthur glanced up at the sky, noted the swelling and darkening of the clouds, and came to the conclusion that rain was likely in the near future. He hummed a tuneless noise of irritation to himself, and tapped his fingers against the book in his hands. The feel of leather beneath his skin was comforting. A clap of thunder ripped open the silence for a moment, far in the distance judging by the delay between the noise and its visual counterpart. Nonetheless Arthur pulled his cape tighter around his shoulders, sparing the darkness a menacing glare.
"Bloody weather."
He had no chance of collecting those plants now. As a Summoner, officially he had no interest in herbology and the like, but on a more personal level the finer details of the topic had always fascinated him. He had intended to retrieve some clippings of a particularly rare specimen he'd spotted some days ago whilst travelling through the forest. But thanks to the heavy showers that hung like a threat on the horizon, it seemed he would have to head back empty-handed.
Gathering the flowing material of his cloak, he hitched it up above the ground so as to avoid dragging it through the mud. His lip curled in distaste. The hem was already frayed from snagging on twigs and rocks on the journey here, tears that would take a large amount of time and skill to repair (which were, luckily, two things he owned in significant quantities). And now the whole damn trip turned out to be a waste of time...! Hissing a curse in the language he'd heard the faeries speak on those rare occasions he'd been able to get close enough to them, Arthur whipped around, long clothes billowing out behind him in what would doubtless have been an impressive spectacle. Except no one was watching. He stalked off in a manner that was very manly and not huffy in any way, shape or form, thank you very much.
[Please, tell me if I've done anything wrong ^^; I wasn't sure about what to put in the Inventory...
EDIT: Is it better now...? I'm rather terrible with punctuation, sorry...]
